Mom and Todd spent the day at the Airport for mobility training. It went very well. Delta is the sponsoring airline. They were very accommodating, however everyone had to go through security just like all other passengers. Four patients practiced transfers to seats in the airplane. They had lunch at the airport. Mom, Marc and Todd had dinner with the Stars at Longhorn's. Their son is leaving the center on Friday, April 26.

Todd had a half-day of occupational and physical therapy. They used the electrodes to stimulate his arm muscles. In occupational therapy, he is working with a mobile arm support to practice eating and personal care. The mobile arm support is described as a series of metal rods around Todd's arm with a cuff that is attached to rubber bands. Todd describes it as a robotic arm that makes it easier to move his arm to his mouth. Todd also played volleyball with air splints on his arms.

This is the first weekend since Todd and mom have been in Atlanta that they did not have any visitors. Todd slept most of the day. The temperature was in the high 90s and very uncomfortable.

Bad end of the week. Mom and Todd took the Marta bus to the Arts Center in hopes of spending the day at the underground mall. As they got off the elevator, Todd's chair decided not to work. The Marta police assisted mom by pushing the chair (which weighs 300 lbs) back to the bus. The bus driver helped mom get Todd off the bus, back at the apartment. The chair then decided to work again. The entire ordeal took about 3 hours and they decided to spend the rest of the day at home.

Another Very Busy Week !
